As a special partner you will receive an adoption certificate giving the history and personal qualities of the animal you've "adopted;" frequent updates and photographs, plus our quarterly publication, the Sanctuary Heart Strings, that will keep you updated on all of the activities at the sanctuary and our new arrivals.

Bleat & Rugby were born here in the spring of 2001. their mother was to be slaughtered for meat, she had a disease, which caused arthritis and she was no longer useful as a 4-H show goat. We were not aware Miranda had been bred when we rescued her. Miranda's disease could be passed on to her babies through her milk, so Bleat & Rugby had to be bottle fed. Sadly, Miranda died soon after her babies were born.

Charlie is one of the many rescued cats who now find a home at the Blue Heart Sanctuary. Charlie was only a few weeks old when he was found abandoned in a parking lot. He quickly made friends with Soloman and the two have been inseparable ever since.

Annabelle had a tremendously difficult life before coming to live at our Sanctuary. When she was a baby, both her ears were ripped off when she was attacked by dogs. After years of poor nutrition, Annabelle is extremely obese and has difficulty walking and even standing.

We rescued Annabelle after a teenager poured gasoline on her and set her on fire, she was terribly burned over most of her body. With tender, loving care, Annabelle's burns have healed nicely. She has finally come to a place of peace.
